Hi Clifford,
Well I discovered when further cleaning the saw, it is actually a 14-
inch model and the number is 315.34160. I realized there was a plate
on the bottom I missed and so we focused on the bar for numbers ,which
did not seem like a good plan, but hey it was the numbers we found.
So, now it is a little cleaner and I found the model number. Seems
there are two nuts on the right side of the bar closest to the housing
that if loosened, will allow the bar to be pulled a bit tighter and
well that seemed to help for the most part, but still have no idea
what the little knob is on the top or the thing on the right side is.
Looks like the thing on the right side might have been some sort of
break or something that would press against the chain, but not sure it
works properly or even what exactly its purpose is, so I have no idea
if it really works or not.<grin>
Now I need to get some chain oil and then go experiment with it.
Thanks for the info.
