This is going from the general to a specific, but when designing GUIs, it's important to use a toolkit that enables error messages to be returned in clipboard-enabled format, so users can copy error messages and use them to search the internet for solutions. An inability to do this should be reported to the GUI toolkit authors as a severe accessibility and usability bug.
