hmmm. that might be a HDD issue or a controller issue. the only reason I still suspect Windows 10 for the fault is that the HDD shutdown happened after running it. Like I said, you might need some visual assistance to determine what may have been modified. Also, Windows 10 likes to erase the boot loader in favor of it's own boot loader, thus removing any possibility of dual booting another OS that MS might have an issue with.
