Hi

Oh can't we be a bit more eccumenical than that? After all, if we apply
"There's more than one way to do it" to a mailing list topic; wouldn't
that leave us kinda wide open?
Speaking only for myself, I like most of the diversions. The ones I
don't, I delete.
And I hesitated to send this mail for two reasons:
1. I think you do a superlative job with the group Ronald, and I
wouldn't want my comments to be misconstrued as any kind of mutiny.
2. I know it may start another meta-discussion.
To me, what's great about the list is the people on it. If the signal to
noise ratio gets too low [more noise than signal] people leave and the
community suffers. I don't think we're near that, but I have been wrong
before.

The Swiss have an interesting army. Five hundred years without a war. Pretty
impressive. Also pretty lucky for them. Ever see that little Swiss Army knife
they have to fight with? Not much of a weapon there. Corkscrews. Bottle
openers. 'Come on, buddy, let's go. You get past me, the guy in back of me,
he's got a spoon. Back off. I've got the toe clippers right here.'
