Rich Ring wants an overhaul of the file manager.
I've asked him, and since we know one another reasonably well, he has
decided to share his inner desires with me.
I would like to see the file manager be a more integrated piece of
software.
Let me give you an example.
Ok, so I'm at the main menu.
I press f for file manager, and d for directory.
I now should see the root directory of a given drive.
I should be able to arrow down to a folder, and when I come to the one I
want, I should be able to press enter to open it.
First letter navigation should also work.
When I come to a file I want, I should be able to press enter, and that
file should open. Whether that file is an audio file, or a Keysoft
supported file, that is how I would like it to work.
Forget this control-t or space with t.
This is my humble request, and I know that I am probably in the
minority.
But, at one time, the majority thought the earth was flat! (smile)
The Pac Mate does it, the Braille Sense does it, so I hope some day the
Braillenote will do these things as well.
