Hi nicky.
I got the same message this morning on a file i'd
been using in school, and unfortunately the only
way to resolve it is erase it and start from
scratch. I know this is likely to do your head
in, but hopefully you've backed up your work. If
you didn't, you should do really, and you should
also start crying now coz there's a whole lot of
retyping to do.
Good luck, louise.

Subject: [Braillenote] Corrupted Keyword file,
help please
Hi all,
Last night, while I was working in a Keyword
Braille file, my BN mPower's battery suddenly went
dead without a "battery is low" message. Of
course, this led to a reset, and since then I
can't open my file. It's quite large, around 460
kb. When I press space with I, it still gives its
size as what I would expect it to be, which leads
me to think that the contents haven't been
completely erased. I've tried copying, moving and
translating it, but to no avail. I always get a
beep tone followed by the message, "reached the
end of the file". I've tried sending it to myself
as an attachment, but still no luck.
I connected to my computer with ActiveSync, and
the file shows up with its normal size, but even
on the PC I can't copy it to a different location.
I've been able to rename it and give it different
file extensions (as you can tell, I was getting
desperate), but I was still unable to copy it.
I'd love to try to open it with Notepad or another
such program, but "open with..." does not seem to
be an option when I view the file in ActiveSync.
I've checked that the file is not protected.
I'm beginning to run out of ideas, so I'd really
appreciate any help with this! It's so
frustrating, as I feel sure the information is
essentially still there, but I just can't get to
it!
Sorry for the long post,
Nicky
