Kylie,,

Welcome to the list. I too am a college student, first time freshman. I am a
user of both a BrailleNote mPower BT 32 and BrailleNote PK where I have the
Nemeth Tutorial, Oxford Concise Dictionary and Thesaurus, and the Sendero
GPS Version 4.0.

I must say that the biggest thing I appreciated when making the switch from
my mPower to my PK is the portability and the quietness of the keyboard.

With your Braille display issue I would first make sure that you have the
latest version of JAWS, which at the moment is 8.0. Joseph, can you please
provide the instructions required for connecting the BrailleNote and
computer that will allow for the BrailleNote to be a braille display?

It is possible to enter anything into the BrailleNote, whether that is
grade 3 braille, music braille, or even some foreign language. The issue
will lie in the fact that the BrailleNote will not be able to read what you
read using its speech synthesizer, but you can read it using the Braille
display.

Hope this helps.

Don't hesitate to ask questions

Kevin Chao
Beta Tester of:
Sendero GPS Version 4.0 and
Nemeth Tutorial Version 1.0.
