Rose;
I would be temped to call back and be sure you talk to another person.
Maybe this person just did not know what he was talking about. There
has never been any mention of any cut off if we get a transplant. Let
us know what you find. Stand up for your rights and what is due to you.
I need to know. Almost time for one for me, too.

Subject: [Braillenote] Service agreements?

I was told by HumanWare this morning that I am unable to buy a service
agreement on my Braille note, why? Because it is a transplant! I don't
think I have heard this one before, but maybe I just missed it.

I guess this means that any cleanings, battery replacements, or anything
else will be paid for at my expense plus! Not happy about this since I
know the costs will be high for me. My transplants were completed in
January and February 2006, and I paid for service through 2007, called
to update and although I can buy SMAs for the products, I cannot buy a
service agreement, not even to have battery changes.

The policy seems harsh all because I choose to use my working Braille
display and save all of us money!
