Hi Tara,

Thanks for the warning, I can see where this would have frustrated me quite
a lot.  In the nearly two weeks that I have had my unit, it seems to me that
Humanware radically overstates the connectivity of the BN.  I confess, I'm
just out and out perplexed as to how a product that has clearly had some
thought put into its design, can be so incredibly dated in some very
important ways.  To my thinking the serial port is an excellent example of
this.  Nothing, except the Bn, connects via serial any more.  The BN has two
USB ports, so I just can't understand why Humanware hasn't modernized the
BN, so that it can connect via USB as well.  If they did this, they could
provide better bluetooth options as well, as one would not have to rely on
having a virtual com port, either for MSp or to use the BN as a braille
display.  Maybe the BN just isn't the product for me, but it's too bad.  In
many ways, I really like it.
