Hi flks, Just a side note: please perform this when you are connected to aC power. Doing it without it may cause the unit to freeze upon startup, as this process involves shuting down and restarting battery compartment. Cheers, Joseph

Try a service reset: remove ALL storage devices from your unit, double check that all storage devices have been removed from your unit, hold down the record button while also holding the reset button, wait a few seconds, and let them both go. Your bn will reset, and it may ask you to press reset a few more times. If it does, press reset with no other keys or buttons held down as many times as it asks. You will eventually be back at the main menu and your problems may be solved. Again, hw has said that this should only be done with a tech or with no other options, but I have done it a lot of times with no adverse effects on my machine.
