I had the same problem with the BT and it was the dots 4 and 5 keys that
didn't work.
Sent my unit back to HW and they fixed it!
My school payed for it!

I had my braille note battery replaced last summer. In May parts of my
keyboard stopped working, something that several people I know of have
also
exerpienced recently, my quote that I received again included a new
battery. When pressed they would not tell me that a battery less than a
year old needed replaced. A third party was paying for the repairs and I
tol d them I did not feel they should pay for anything except what was
needed to repair the unit. In the end, they decided to buy the new
battery. The other two individuals that I know of that also sent their
unit
in for this same keyboard issue were also told they needed a new
battery.
Is this just standard protocol these days. If you send it in for any
service are they going to tell you you need a new battery?
As for the keyboard problem we all experienced, I am wondering how many
people have experienced their empower QT keyboard suddenly have
important keys not work? In my case it began with the escape key and
then
the control key and then the function key.
It was a $45 part that fixed the problem yet the bill came to $200. A
friend, with the exact same problem was initially charged more than $80
more than I was.
