Hi listers. I have sent off my MPower to get traided in for the apex. How ever I forgot to ask anyone about my RFB D key if I can get that transfered or if I have to pay another 20 dollars for a new key to work on my apex. If anyone could answer that I would appreciate it. And if anyone has purchased the qt model I would like to hear thoughts and impressions about it. I am getting all of my other extentions transfered over such as my dictionary, gps and nemeth code tutorials. I think it will be a while before I get my apex but i am ok with that as long as it works. lol.

Subject: re: [Braillenote] Anybody Know What to Do if an Apex Appears tohaveForgotten all its Authorization Keys?

Hi all,
My issue has been resolved. I'll share the main points just in case it
helps somebody else. According to Humanware I must have held down dots
1-2-3 during reset. I sure can't picture having done that by accident. I
can only guess that I might have been trying to move to top-of-page in the
browser and happened to be holding down those keys when I hit Reset. I
don't think the Apex spontaneously rebooted itself, but at this point I
can't really be sure of anything. Anyway, I am told that the reset with
dots 1-2-3 will remove Keysoft extensions such as the Oxford Dictionary
and Thesaurus. I guess it must eat authorization keys of some kinds, too,
since it ate my RFB&D key. Interestingly, I guess my dictionary/thesaurus
key must be more permanent since that extension is back working even
though I only downloaded the software module itself without actually
entering a new key as such.

Once I re-downloaded the dictionary and verified that it was working, I
went back to RFB&D's web site and regenerated my key for them. I typed
the key in and now have access to RFB&D material again.

Thanks for all the good suggestions.

Regards,
Jerry
