Hi,
They did: they have put up the installation packages online now, and as I've
promised, I plan to host a download link to it.
As for the actual keystroke, I've decided to guard it from public mostly
because of possible confusion from new users and people complaining about
apps not working after performing 1-2-3 reset. Also, Lucia told me to be
careful when discussing this sort of keystrokes (which also includes Clean
Reset).
Cheers,
Joseph

WRONGTIMES!!!

Hi Joseph,
In the future, for clarification purposes, could you reference the
keystrokes involved, please? While reading your message below I wasn't sure

whether you were talking about the 4-5-6 reset or the 1-2-3.

I have confirmed that the ROM reset is indeed destructive, but, having
witnessed said destruction at least twice, I can tell you that a little
preparation goes a long way toward reducing the hassle and saving you time
in reinstalling those extensions. I put the dictionary and GPS installers
in corresponding folders on an SD card, and, immediately after those resets,

i copied each installer to the root of the SD card, removed the card and
re-inserted it. The Apex saw them and reinstalled the extensions in a matter

of just a few minutes.

I have heard that the decision to make this reset destructive was not
without considerable controversy among HW staff. While the steps outlined
above reduced this destructiveness to a mere inconvenience for me, other
end-users may not see it that way, and I hope HW takes this into account
some time in the future.

Tom
