The first time you press escape, the BN will ask you whether you want to
save the file as a KeyWord document. If you press n, the file will be saved
in its original format. If you press y, the file will be saved as a KeyWord
document. If you press escape a second time, the file is discarded. I have
accidentally goofed up files so I like the discard feature so I can start
over.
