Well, grin, I just double checked again; and, in addition to the
way you described below, I was indeed able to have my Apex find
the iPhone and pair that way. The serial service was offered,
and I paired by entering the code of my choice on the Apex, and
then on the iPhone when prompted. I then put the Apex in
terminal mode, went to Voiceover and then Braille on the iPhone
and tapped on the Apex and I then had the Braille on the Apex.
Second, I've tried and tried the double tap and hold, but still
with no luck. Guess I can keep trying, though.
And, finally, the Bluetooth DUN just isn't available with the
iPhone, so I was wondering if any other type of connection might
be available for the tethering with the Apex.

other way to accomplish something similar? I do have the
tethering plan for the iPhone from A T and T, but will very
quickly drop it in favor of one of the cheaper plans if I can't
use either my Apex or one of my Sense products in this fashion.
