Subject to your carrier's desire to make even more money out of you than is absolutely necessary and Apple's eagerness to help them, of course, this depends on what features your iPhone has available. iPhone 3GS supports USB and Bluetooth if the carrier allows; iPhone 4 supports those and also wireless access point operation.
