I've never exported to the Serial port myself. However, I know you need to
prepare the computer to receive the file before you transfer it from the
BrailleNote. This leads me to assume that you choose the location of the file
from the computer before the file is exported. In the User Guide of the BN, it
says to prep the PC for receiving, so I think you would have to choose the
location where you want the file stored, and choose it from the computer before
transferring. One of my friends transfers files in this manner from his
Braille Lite to PC, and he does preparation like this on the PC before
exporting from the notetaker; in other words, he doesn't just export from the
Braille Lite without prepping the PC to receive the file. To answer your
question, the path the file would take would be chosen on the PC before
transfer, and I don't see a reason why the name of the file wouldn't remain the
same as it is on the BN. HTH.
