Ann, If you already have them as .kwb files, then use the Export File Option (read sections 13.17.4 through 13.17.6) in the Translation Menu. Plain Braille is the second file type option. You can do this for a group of files if you can use wildcard characters for their names. If you will do the translation on the BrailleNote, select File. If you're sending it to another device through the serial port, select Serial Port. But I cannot say that exporting from the serial port works for ActiveSync because I don't use that program.
Now the next time you want to create files that you know you're going to emboss and thus need as plain Braille files, then create them as such to spare you the trouble of exporting KWB files. From the Main Menu, press W to enter Keyword. Type S for the Keyword Setup Options. There is just one option there for now, and it allows you to change the type of files you create by default in Keyword. For the BT, this is set to Keyword Braille. Press SPACE with dots 3-4 to cycle through the options, stopping at Plain Braille. It says that it's a .brl file, but really what you get is a document with the .brf extension. Keep in mind that plain Braille files are foreign to Keysoft so when you open such a file, you are asked if you wish to review the document options. Just press ENTER again to ignore that if you don't wish to change anything.
