No problem, you can remove the strap when you are not using it.  That is why
I like the case I got at walmart, It gives me some place for the straps and
much much more.  Like a small brefecase.

I don't like the straps of the case hanging down.  Straps are necessary for
traveling, but they get in the way when you are using the BN seated at a
desk.
