Lisa I don't know what happened either but i have posted here before saying that something similar happened to me where i ended up needed to do a reset and ended up losing everything and that included * I think* the one up grade i had done and also reverted my bnqt back to something even older if that makes any sense. i still don't know what happened or what to do! mary ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lisa Ehlers" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, November 04, 2004 6:39 AM Subject: [Braillenote] please help file gone
Hi Listers, Okay I am really confused. All I wanted to do was write something in my file that has my phone numbers in it. When I went to write something in it the Braille display was blank. I did a reset and the Braille display came back. The file is empty and I did not do anything to delete the information in the document. The file is still there but the information is gone. I have looked in the none folders on both the flash disk and the keysoft system disk and nothing. Why would it mysteriously disappear? Where would the info go? I'm worried first it did this with a file erasing the whole file about a month ago now this. It isn't the address list I don't use that. I have my own file or did have a file full of phone numbers. It has taken me years to build that file. I guess the Perkins does have a job to write information that I actually need to keep. I want to know what file the BN will destroy next. I'm just so confused if it wanted to destroy the file okay erase it don't delete all the info from it and leave the file. I hope I will not have wonderof surprises like this with Keysoft 6.1. If there is any way I can retrieve the info. I have no idea what happened to it. I think it was gone before I did the reset. I did get the Braille display back before the reset but the BN refused to do anything other than stay on the options menu. I enjoy rebuilding files in my spare time. Sorry this stuff should not happen not instaneously without any warning. Any help would be appreciated.
