Holiday Bread (awesome)

8 oz. cream cheese
1 cup butter or margarine or butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
2 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup maraschino cherries, chopped
1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Blend cream cheese, butter, sugar and vanilla. 

Add eggs one at a time. 

Add 2 cups of flour and mix well. 

Combine 1/4 cup flour with cherries and nuts. 

Fold into batter. 

Pour into lightly greased bundt pan or several 
small bread pans. 

Bake at 325 F for 1 hour and 20 minutes (less 
time for small bread pans). 

Cool 5 minutes, remove from pan and glaze with:

1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp milk (or 1 Tbsp cherry juice)
