Do you even know how to read? I wrote that the budget has been in almost continuous deficit for the last 30 years. You say that I am wrong because there were 4 years of surpuluses out of 30? Do you really think that 4 out of 30 shows that the government has been saving significantly over the last 30 years? Do you have any clue what the sum of the budget deficits for the last 30 years were? If you can't read, maybe you know how to add? (or in this case, subtract) Do you see net government savings in the past 30 years? 1975-01-01 -53242 1976-01-01 -73732 1977-01-01 -53659 1978-01-01 -59185 1979-01-01 -40726 1980-01-01 -73830 1981-01-01 -78968 1982-01-01 -127977 1983-01-01 -207802 1984-01-01 -185367 1985-01-01 -212308 1986-01-01 -221215 1987-01-01 -149728 1988-01-01 -155152 1989-01-01 -152456 1990-01-01 -221195 1991-01-01 -269328 1992-01-01 -290376 1993-01-01 -255087 1994-01-01 -203250 1995-01-01 -163972 1996-01-01 -107473 1997-01-01 -21958 1998-01-01 69213 1999-01-01 125563 2000-01-01 236445 2001-01-01 127424 2002-01-01 -157797 2003-01-01 -374756 2004-01-01 -412553 -- Erik Reuter http://www.erikreuter.net/ _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
