His "non-Broach" books are outstanding. The Broach books are just
"good" but very entertaining in a heinlien sort of way.
On a personal level he is a nice and quite decent guy, but I don't
discuss politics with him very often because we have too many points
of extreme disagreement and I *do* like the fellow.
I haven't yakked at him in the last couple of years ever since he got
busy with a couple of book projects that seemed to keep him very busy.
In a lot of ways he reminds me of Brin.
