Boston The problem, I think, is if teams drop out, they then shift the seedings of teams below them. I.e.You are the 28 seed, schedulled to play the 5v28 at 10:00 am. But the 22 seed drops out. Now you are 27 seed, and the 6 v 27 game was set for 9 am (because top 5 teams were give a late start).... thats how it screws things up...
Still - a captains meeting time, and a 1st game time (regardless of if you are in it or not) would be something... anyone? -Justin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jon Palmer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <britdisc@near.me.uk> Sent: Saturday, September 03, 2005 6:56 AM Subject: RE: [BD] Re: Nationals Pickups > I don't get it. > > 32 teams, 16 pitches, straight knockout. 3 games on Saturday, 2 games on > Sunday. > > If there are only 29 teams then the top 3 teams get a bye in the first game. > If two more drop out 5 teams get a bye. > > Where's the complication? > > Any chance we can at least get an earliest possible start time for the 1st > game so that we can plan our journeys? > > Cheers > JP > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On > > Behalf Of David Grayson > > Sent: Friday, September 02, 2005 8:21 AM > > To: britdisc@near.me.uk > > Subject: Re: [BD] Re: Nationals Pickups > > > > I think that was Jaimies way of saying that the Schedule has had to be > > changed at the last minute due to teams dropping out as late as last > > night. > > > > I'm sure all efforts are being made to get the schedule out as soon as > > possible. > > > > Dave. > > > > At 13:10 02/09/2005, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > >>So you know about schedules and start times? > > > > > >Nope, just when I need to turn up. > > >When teams keep dropping out at the last minute it is quite hard to > > >reliably inform people of the schedule as it has to keep changing.
