Or we can use ps command in mged to achieve vector output for
further editing. One way or another, it is tedious work to make a nice
looking draft with annotation lines.

lines, or polygons. They achieve desired accuracy by defining region
(area) with resolution."
This works pretty well in GRASS GIS. It has the ability to output PostScript
image which preserves raster or vector nature of the original data. So you
can have raster and vector layers in the same image. It would be perfect
to have this in BRL-CAD.

This is interesting. Do you mean "section cutting"?
