Yeah, I wish I could help more, but it was a steep (and long) learning curve for me. PS programming is fun, though. It is used for generation of vector graphics and I probably spoke too soon, because it looks like the scripting (via Python) looks pretty rudimentary at the moment. But there may be other svg libraries out there for a similar use.
