At the beer festival this year I had to bring in a pretty raw beer (my Very
Pale Ale) straight from the fermenter, because we run out of beer. I gave it
those 3-4 Atm of CO2, closed the valve (didn't trust our piping), and shaked
it for a few minutes. Repeated three times, and started serving the stuff.
It worked. The beer was not crystal clear, but there were many reasons for
that, probably the shaking didn't make that much of a difference after the
transport and hasty kegging...
