Not at all - I cool my 18 liter pot in 20-30 minutes, in a big bucket of cold water. The trick is, as I have told before, to leave the water running slowly, so that there is some flow around the pot. Probably a toy motorboat moored to the pot would have the same effect. > Altså lave 5 liter urt, og tilsætte 20 liter koldt vand i gærtanken, > for på den måde at ramme den ønskede pitching-temperatur med det samme That would be one strong wort you'd need here. I suspect you would need to use lots of grains to get the OG high enough, since you could not afford to use much sparging water, which would dilute the stuff. I am actually experimenting on the same lines, just now I have 15 liters of water boiling with hops, that I plan to cool down while mashing, and add into one potfull of wort once I have that ready. Less than 50% of the volume, but the same idea. -- Heikki Levanto LSD - Levanto Software Development <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
