Sure! I have brewed 40 liter batches with it. Just follow the
instructions for rehydrating it right. 

Often I make a "same-day starter" by boiling some of the first runnings
and cooling them down while I am still busy with sparging the main
portion. Dump the yeast in that, and by the time you are ready to pitch,
you have an active and potent starter. You should see activity within
2-4 hours of pitching!

Yes, be awfully sure that everything is properly clean and sanitized!
Don't keep it too long! Check the beer you took the yeast from, if it
shows any hints of infection, don't use the yeast.
