Don't forget that Google provides language tools and allows you to set your
preferences. And that the BSD projects have translation teams for their documentation projects. And that there are mailing lists in non-English languages and BSD portals in non-English languages. Point being that there are non-English resources available to the BSD administrator and user.
From personal experience as a trainer in an urban center with 40% immigrationpopulation, taking an exam is tough enough. I'm sure there are statistics someplace (as some other certifications offer non-English versions of their exams or offer additional time), but I see very good students get lower marks than their English counterparts. At the very least, it takes them
longer to complete the exam and sometimes that can make the difference between a pass and a fail.
I'd have to hunt up the exact statistics, but I'd say off the top of my head that 75% of the contact form submissions we've received have been to
offer translation services. The amount of people who have offered the amount
of man hours they have is amazing.
