The groff git repository is missing at least versions 1.01, 1.03, 1.12,
1.12.1, and 1.13. Source code for at least 1.01 has been located
(http://minnie.tuhs.org/cgi-bin/utree.pl?file=Net2/usr/src/usr.bin/groff/).
It's impossible to add this (or any others that may be unearthed) to the
production git repository.
List discussion (http://lists.gnu.org/r/groff/2022-12/msg00064.html and
downthread) suggests creating a read-only historical repository to which older
releases can be inserted as they come to light without affecting the
development tree.
