On Amiga, and also on Sparc (which are the only other platforms I've
used for more than just a short while), the system boots up in
graphics mode. It would be good if the resolution of this graphics
mode would be passed on to the operating system in the Multiboot
header. (This is a little like VESA2 support, I'd say)

Yes, absolutely! I'm about to buy an Amiga myself, and I will, if not
port GRUB, at least write a Multiboot compliant loader, so that I can
port the kernel me and some friends are writing. And I think other
people might be interested of doing Multiboot loaders themselves, if
we'll be able to convince them Multiboot is not just a stupid
PC-thing.
