I guess it cannot hurt to install it. I have no strong feelings either way. The way I see it is: There is just one Hurd distribution, Debian GNU/Hurd, and it uses sysvinit. If the guix project gets their Hurd port up and running, and I hope they do, then they will be using dmd. I wrote the init daemon and modified the runsystem script merely to get the `proc_set_init_task' patch merged. I don't expect it to be used. Justus
