\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\share\ghostscript\8.70
with the newer version?
That probably won't do. Best is to move
./usr/share/ghostscript/8.70/lib/
./usr/share/ghostscript/8.70/Resource/
./usr/etc/relocate/gs.reloc
./usr/bin/gs-8.dll
./usr/bin/gs.exe
./usr/bin/gs.dll
./usr/bin/gs-8.70.dll
out of the way and make sure that the new gs.exe is in the PATH.
[It would also be very interesting to see if an older (8.70) version
of gs, downloaded from download.ghostscript.com also has this problem.]
