Well, I'd prefer fixing that (if someone likes to fix it) by making
--no-unquote the default. That leaves the caller the option to enable
unquote if needed.I haven't had the case, but it might be that you want
to give filenames with unprintable characters as an option, and in this
case unquoting might be usefull.
Anyway, "tar --help" should be fixed to describe tar's behavior.
