The psim BSP maps 256 MiB of RAM with DBAT0. The PCI BAT starts at `0x08000000`, which lies inside that range. `setdbat()` rejects an overlap, so it prints "BATs must not overlap" at every boot and leaves the register unprogrammed. The simulator has no PCI bus and the device tree declares no device at that address. The fast idle loop of the decrementer driver moves the time base forward while the idle thread is the executing thread and the heir. It has no other exit. A test which gives the idle thread a priority above a ready task therefore keeps the processor in the clock interrupt and no thread runs again. `ts-userext` on psim stops at its last action. The shared loop of `clockimpl.h` has the exit which this one lacks. Found while running the test suite of the BSP on the simulator.
