I think I've had at least two turkeys cooked that way. I'm not sure of the oil used. One was a little too well done to eat the skin (I like the skin off a baked turkey) or the wings and legs.

We're planning to go in some home-grown grass and corn fed beef this Fall.  Somewhere between 200 and 400 pounds of Angus (anywhere from a quarter to a half steer) for about $2.05 per pound, all custom cut and packaged up.

I love chicken but I guess this is cheaper.

We're trying to get rid of the wild stuff in the freezer (left over from the ex-Mr. Debbie who was a big hunter/gunner)...

Glad to see the craze has made it to NYC, using peanut oil I hope, get the oil to 350, ease the bird in, 3 minutes a pound, good look, don't burn the house down.

John Andrew III threw a fit because he was hungry and couldn't understand why we couldn't get french fries in France.
As we were leaving the kingdom Sarah wanted to know "So Mom are you making a turkey back at the house tonight"
Rather than risk the wrath of the matre di in some sit down place we offered them Turkey dinner at Denny's- seems to me they settled for Pancakes.
Deep Fried Wild Turkey is on this years menu...
