Does the radio have one built in?
No, no "special" SWR meter needed. A good SWR meter is good to have, so is an
antenna analyzer. Analyzers come in handy when making homebrew antennas!

I have a Magnum 257 radio from many years ago that I want to use for HF. I
have an old CB antenna that I believe I can shorten to work on 10 meter. Do I
need a special SWR meter for an HF radio?
