No it does not have one built in. I have one SWE meter I used with CB in the 70s and one for VHF and UHF. The only other antenna I have is a quad band I use with my quad band mobile radios.

No, no "special" SWR meter needed. A good SWR meter is good to have, so is an antenna analyzer. Analyzers come in handy when making homebrew antennas!
