Kyle, Some words of encouragement. I set up a new copy of magento 1.4.1.1, installed only the openerp connector extension module, and loaded the demo data on the same webserver that my production system runs on. So far, product import works flawlessly with OpenERP trunk (6.0) so I guess it's something to do with the way I have the products set up in the production system or a conflict with another magento extension. I'm going to try changing one thing at a time and see what breaks the import.
