Under needs #3, "Needs a user interface to allow user to enter system configuration parameters during the boot. It also needs a mechanism to trigger the user interface when required. This will be needed for systems shipped with preinstall images." Does this mean that the user interface will always be triggered during boot or only the first boot after an install? And we also want the ability to trigger it at other times? needs #4: Is this user supplied profile what is generated from #3 above? or #2? If not, where does it come from? How does the user generate this?
