I updated the grub menu to read:

But it still doesn't display more than:
Copyright 1983-2008 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All rights reser <-- output cut off
when it boots. I can tell from the snoop that it continues to boot. It is just
not displaying anything on the console (viewed through the SP).
