SUNWnfssu delivers (among other things) libshare that's used for sharing file systems via NFS now and via CIFS in the future. There could be a case where CIFS interoperability with Microsoft might be a deal breaker for a user in a Microsoft environment. A use case for NFS server would be a user that starts up a LiveCD for experimentation with ZFS. One of the things that ZFS allows for is setting sharenfs=on on ZFS filesystems. Without the NFS server present, trying such a thing would just give an error message and perhaps a not so great impression about ZFS. Alok
