SUNWnfssu delivers (among other things) libshare
that's used for sharing file systems via NFS now and
via CIFS in the future. There could be a case where
CIFS interoperability with Microsoft might be a deal
breaker for a user in a Microsoft environment.

A use case for NFS server would be a user that starts
up a LiveCD for experimentation with ZFS. One of the
things that ZFS allows for is setting sharenfs=on on
ZFS filesystems. Without the NFS server present, trying
such a thing would just give an error message and
perhaps a not so great impression about ZFS.
