Rokh, As part of the install extended partition project we are fixing bug 6483812 . So now p0 will refer to the whole disk as it should. p1-p4 will be the primary/extended partitions and p5-p36 will be the logical partitions. You will need to adjust your partition numbers appropriately. By that I mean what you have as p0 is now p1, p1 becomes p2 etc.
tp_partition_003: If your partition numbers reflect the actual p# from the disk, then the logical partitions need to start at p5. So you would have this: p1 extended partition p5 pcfs p6 Solaris2 p7 linux p8 pcfs p9 linux tp_partition_004: similar to above. p1 pcfs p2 Solaris2 p3 linux p4 extended p5 pcfs p6 linux tp_partition_006: p1 extended p2 pcfs p3 Solaris2 p4 linux and then after the delete p1 unused p2 unused p3 Solaris2 p4 unused tp_partition_007: p1 extended p2 Solaris2 p3 unused p4 unused p5 pcfs p6 linux after the delete p1 unused p2 Solaris2 p3 unused p4 unused tp_partition_008: Same change to numbering scheme. When you delete logical partitions, the numbering collapses. So in step 5 you should have: p1 extended p2 unused p3 unused p4 unused p5 Solaris2 tp_partition_009: same change to the numbering scheme. tp_partition_010: same change to numbering scheme. Why does p6 (really p7) show up in step 8? tp_partition_011: same numbering scheme change. step 6: you have p2 (p3) listed twice. Remove the bottom one I think. tp_partition_012: same numbering scheme change. Is step 13 legal? If you delete the extended partition to 25% but the logical partitions add to 30% I'm not sure it should let you do this. If it does, what happens to the LPs? tp_partition_013: same numbering scheme change. step 1 You can't create this format. The first lp will be p4 (p5) not p5 (p6) as you have it. You also can't have the unused between the lps. step 4 and 6: your extended partition disappeared. tp_partition_014: same numbering scheme change tp_partition_015: same numbering scheme change tp_partition_016: same numbering scheme change I'll let Sue and Keith comment on the actual text installer interface validity. Nice job though.
