people choose cake cause they feel comfy with the conventions and the framework does a lot of good work for lazy developers. But maybe it would be nice to have a dev discussion list to have a larger base of developers talking about future magic and/or more convinient solutions for the whole 'user' base. this doesn't mean i don't feel comfy with 1.2... i just think there are some people who would like to share their knowledge with cake's core team.
