If there's anybody who can quickly adopt IPP G.729 for Callweaver (for
'educational' purposes only ];-)) ) at reasonable price we can finance this
job immediatelly - result of this job will be free...

There's works in progress to write a standalone transcoder. G.729 is patented in many countries and implementing it directly in callweaver is thus not a good thing. The stand-alone stuff will consist of an sockets (IP or unix) based transcoder that can be built with commercial/closed or open source. This solution will allow far more scalability with transcoding compute-intensive codecs as they may be distributed on several nodes
