I told my oldest that dh and I needed to rent a room at the b&b here in town, he said
only if you take the twins, I said no way I want 8 hours of sleep, he said, well I
guess you better wait until they turn 2!! LOL I know I keep wanting to wean the
twins, but the boys nursed 17 mo, 26 mo and 27 mo, I feel like I would be cheating
them not to go at least until 18 months, they have both been nursing with their teeth
the last two days, not sure what to do. I remember wanting to quit when they were
only 4 months, but when they fall asleep nursing it is so cute, plus I hate making
bottles, and they are very messy cup drinkers even with the non spill cups! ml

  ML -
I will try magnesium! I'll try anything. And as for the breastfeeding... I hope to
be able to continue. I was just panicked - as I had no surplus and she wouldn't take
anything else. My next option was no trip - which would have been fine, I'd rather
forego a trip then have her stressed like that. Hubby and I just need a day or two to
regroup. I'd be happy renting a room here in town! I am planning on sleeping - maybe
even on the beach, but sleeping nonetheless. I know it sounds real romantic and
exotic!

    Jennifer,

Hope you have fun in Mexico, and you still may be able to nurse if you want.
As far as not sleeping (I know what you mean, my girls start to sleep through
the night, then teething hits!) Years ago my dr. told me to take magnesium, I did and
did not think it did much for me (I have terrible PMS) well I read recently it helps
you sleep, and my PMS has been bad, the dr now does not want me to take any meds, so I
tried magnesium again, I can't tell you how much better I am sleeping (restful!) even
though I still am up several times each night with each baby, I feel tons better. I
take it with calcium. You may want to ask you dr about it, I can not believe how much
better I have felt, first time my house has really been cleaned in 2 years. My dh has
tried to get up with them at night, but they usually cry until I get up, once in a
while he gets one to sleep. I know how much lack of sleep stinks!! Let us know about
your trip. ml
