If we're lucky we might get half a dozen overnight moorings; the rest are scheduled to be sold with the new houses. My own guess is that we won't get even that many. You may be Britain's number 1 canal town but BW obviously don't think you're worth that much. Have a look at the roof of the Yacht Club - you'll see a section of tiling done as it should be - that'll have explanatory boards explaining the proper overlapped nature of the original building. The rest will be done on the cheap. As will the lining of the basin which actually isn't funded to be fully completed, this despite the fact that BW have made a packet developing the Litchfield Street basin and selling the Tontine which should have been the centrepiece of the new Stourport, with at least some sort of access to those of us who love the building and appreciate its hstory. But no, the cash raised from all this had gone to buying a fragment of Docklands as part of that nice Mr Evans' policy of financial 'self-sufficiency' (As long as we give him half a billion of property assets to be self sufficient with.) But hey, I better not say anything here! After all, we don't criticize BW now, do we? Not now we're in bed with them ;-) Steve [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
