As long as this mailing list and also on the u.r.w. newsgroup has existed, it has always wondered off topic frequently. Many people have made friends here, in real life and not just online. Others get to know and trust other people here. Regarding IT questions - by definition - because we are online - we all use IT to talk on the list. We have common problems, some people have more knowledge and gladly help out those who ask for help. For example how do I use my mobile phone to access the Internet - when on a boat. There are many off topic subjects that don't interest me - so I don't read them, or even have a kill filter to stop them downloading the body. People have asked others to stop off topic for a long time, but it has never stopped it !. > >Sorry, was this email also off-topic? Bother. > Possibly (:-) -- Malcolm
