Aqua Kem Green. I have asthama - very unhealthy for anyone with asthma to go any where near fomaldehyde (except for me, in a good fume cupboard at work). Indeed too much exposure to fomaldehyde can lead to occupational asthma (among other things). Not to mention the other ingredient in "blue" is methanol..... :-( I leave it until the pot is full - unless it starts to really pong - unusual, as the seal on a portapotti is very good - an elsan needs a emptying a bit more often. If we are boating then it's every two days for emptying (big tank - can just carry it when full) _,_.___ . Hi, The reason I asked what you put down the toilet and how long do you leave it before you empty its was that I have been given to understand that a lot of the chemicals sold for this purpose actually take quiet a time before they start to work ? I don't know how true that is ? but it does seem that the main reason people put anything down there appears to be to cover the smell both when using the toilet or when actually empting it and if this is the case I just wonder if it would be cheaper and perhaps safer both to the user and the environment if we could find something that just had a nice and long lasting smell ?? any suggestions ?
